The Bug Proof Bivy was designed and built with warm buggy conditions in mind. This ultralight bivy will keep you safely protected behind a top screen of nanoseeum mesh and a floor of cuben fiber. The lightest fabrics were used to shave all weight, but size was not sacrificed. This bivy is easily big enough for me at 6'3" tall and 190 lbs (see pic), along with my sleeping bag. A 36" long center zipper allows easy entry and exit. To achieve this low weight, all bells and whistles were removed. There are no tie outs points or guyline attachments. Use the zipper slider to attach a line onto in order to pull the fabric away from your face.

Caution: This product is made of ultralight specialty fabrics. If you are not familiar with 0.33 oz/yd^2 Cuben Fiber or you are wondering how durable it is, this product may not be for you. Care must be taken while handling and using this product. This bivy should always be used with a CCF sheet (ie. PG Sheet) underneath to protect the floor from abrasion. In order to reduce the stress on the seams, when using the zipper, be sure to hold the end of the actual zipper backing and not the mesh.
